Wednesday Worship

We three decided to start doing something special on a specific day of the week. So, we have chosen to put up a hymn on Wednesday!
This is one of our favorites and we enjoy singing this one together...

Nothing But the Blood
By: Robert Lowry
1~
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Chorus:
O precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other found I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

2~
For my cleansing this I see -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
For my pardon this my plea -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

(repeat Chorus)
3~
Nothing can for sin atone -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
Naught of good that I have done -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

(repeat Chorus)

This is all my hope and peace -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
This is all my righteousness -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

(repeat Chorus)

Now by this I'll overcome -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
Now by this I'll reach my home -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

(repeat Chorus)

~Amen

We hope you enjoy this hymn too!

  1. Hi 'Country Sisters'!
    Posting a hymn every Wednesday is a lovely idea!
    I love how you included all the verses. The message in this hymn is so great: It's all by God's power, not mine. And there is so much power in Jesus blood!
    I'm excited to read your posts. I'm sure they'll be uplifting.
    God bless you!

  2. This is one of my favorite hymns!
    Have you ever heard the song Jesus I Come? The words are beautiful! You should go listen to the way Caedmans Call sings it.

    Blessings,
